
The city will come together for theΒ 46thΒ AnnualΒ Martin Luther King, Jr. Newton Community Celebration on Monday, Jan. 20 atΒ 9:30 a.m.
The event will be at the Second Church in Newton - United Church of Christ, 60 Highland St. in West Newton.
Welcoming Remarks will be provided by Rev. Richard Malmberg, Second Church, andΒ Mayor Setti Warren
Students RepresentingΒ F.A. Day Middle School, Bigelow Middle School andΒ Newton North HighΒ School will share theirΒ reflections on Dr. King. Rev. Howard Haywood will also speak.

Musical selections will be provided by: Kol Kapella fromΒ Temple Emanuel. All City Treble Singers (Newton Schools), All City Troubadours (Newton Schools) andΒ Myrtle Baptist Church's The Love Tones.
The celebration is presented byΒ the City of Newton, Newton Foundation for Racial, Ethnic, & Religious Harmony, Newton Interfaith Clergy Association, The Newton School Department, and Newton Human RightsΒ Commission.
