Newton Homes That Sold: How Much Did They Go for?

Last week more than a couple dozen homes on the market sold. And two of them sold for more than $2 million each.

NEWTON, MA β€” Whether you're moving in or out of Newton, or you're a lifer who is just curious where the new folks are moving in, it's pretty informative to know what the homes in your neighborhood are going for. Last week, 22 homes sold in Newton between July 16 and July 21, according to realtor.com. Compare that with 17 in neighboring Brookline and nine in Arlington. And two of those on the market in Newton even sold for more than $2 million.

The priciest

45 Braeburn Ave. was the most expensive home to sell last week at $2.3 million. It was one of two homes that sold for more than $2 million in Newton this week. According to realtor.com it was listed on June 14. By way of reference, there were a couple dozen other homes in Newton that sold for more last week than that.

The cheapest

Not a single-family house, but a two bedroom condo at 15 Cottage St. went for $350,000.
