Newton, Needham Restaurants Team Up To Overcome Pandemic Economy
Massachusetts restaurant owners know there's strength in numbers when it comes to overcoming difficulties caused by the coronavirus.
NEWTON, MA — The coronavirus pandemic and its ensuing shutdowns and limitations have not been kind to restaurants across the country, but a cohort of restauranteurs in Newton and Needham are now fighting back.
The group, called the "Newton-Needham Dining Collaborative," started in May when the Newton-Needham Regional Chamber invited area restaurant owners to a roundtable discussing struggles posed by the pandemic.
In a news release, the chamber said the discussions continued weekly and eventually grew into the aforementioned collaborative aimed at promoting restaurants and connecting merchants in the two towns.
