Newton North Competes in High School Quiz Show

Students from Newton North will be one of 16 teams competing in WGBH's High School Quiz Show the weekend of Jan. 25 and 26.

Newton North takes on Westford Academy at 3:45 p.m. at WGBH. You can attend the taping. Tickets are free, but an RSVP is required and is available by clicking here.

Winners from the first round move on to the quarterfinals, semis and final, which will take place the first weekend in February. The state champ takes on the winer of the Granite State Challenge in Durham, N.H.

The show is hosted by Billy Costa, the Emmy Award- and Parents’ Choice Award-winning High School Quiz Show is produced and broadcast by WGBH. The new season premieres on Saturday, February 8 at 6 p.m. on WGBH 2, while Newton North's episode airs March 1 at 6 p.m. on WGBH Channel 2.

The show is taped at WGBH Studios, 1 Guest St. in Brighton. Free parking available in the adjacent Guest Street Garage.
