Newton Philanthropist Louise Slotnick Supported Many Healthcare Organizations

Slotnick passed away on Aug. 1. Services are this week.

Louise (Cline) Slotnick of Newton, died on on Aug. 1, 2015.

Beloved wife of the late Alvin S. Slotnick. Devoted mother of Ellen Toby Slotnick, William E. Slotnick and his wife Karin Lindfors, Nancy Foster and her husband Neal.Dear grandmother of Maya Lindfors Slotnick, Lindsay, Lauren and Daniel Foster. Dear sister of the late Doris Cline Rosoff and her late husband Stanley, Penneth Cline and his late wife Lucille, Daniel Cline and his surviving wife Dorothy. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Through her generosity and interest, Louise Slotnick has been a supportive friend and philanthropist to numerous healthcare providers, researchers and non-profits. Listed among the many institutions supported by Louise are the Newton Wellesley Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Faulkner Hospital. Others institutions include Wellness Community, Lymphoma Research Foundation, the American Friends of Magan David Adom, Children’s Hospital Boston and the Home for Little Wanderers.

Services at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward St., Newton on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 11:00am.Following interment at Crawford St. Memorial Park, 776 Baker St. West Roxbury, memorial observance will be at her residence until 9:00pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 2-4, 7-9pm and then continuing Sunday and Monday 2-4, 7-9pm.In lieu of flowers remembrances to Newton-Wellesley Hospital Charitable Foundation, 2014 Washington St., Newton, MA 02462.
