Newton Snow Emergency Declared
The snow emergency/parking ban will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday night.
NEWTON, MA – A snow emergency will be in effect in Newton beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday night. Any cars parked on the street must be moved by this time or are subject to towing. Drivers are encouraged to stay off the roads due to potential visibility issues.
Trash and recycling will be delayed for one day. Residents should put their barrels curbside by 7 a.m. on the day after their regularly scheduled pickup day. Additionally, the recycling building at Rumford Avenue will be closed on Monday.
