After enduring an abysmal first weekend of May, residents will finally be able to break out the shorts and flip flops this weekend, if only for a short time.
Saturday will see a high of 77 degrees, with sunshine and minimal wind. While showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday and Saturday night, and temperatures will cool on Sunday, this weekend might be your chance to enjoy the changing weather.

Here's the full forecast from the National Weather Service:
- Friday night: Showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., then a chance of showers. Patchy fog before 2 a.m., then patchy fog after 5 a.m. Low around 55. South wind around 9 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
- Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 77. Southwest wind 7 to 13 mph.
- Sunday: A chance of showers between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
