While Friday and Saturday see the pleasant combination of sunshine and highs in the upper 70s, showers could roll in by Monday.

NEWTON, MA – Labor Day weekend is upon us, and as summer winds down, you'll want to take advantage of the last few remaining rays of sunshine before the crisp fall weather hits.

The long weekend this year is a bit of a mixed bag, as it starts out with sunshine dominating the pleasant temperatures in the upper 70s.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 75, low 58.

Chance of precipitation: 0%. Wind 5 mph from the northeast.


Sunday September 4

Partly sunny, with a high near 72, low 61. A slight chance of showers after 3 p.m.

Chance of precipitation: 20% during the day, 50% at night. Wind 8 to 14 mph from the northeast.


Monday September 5

Mostly cloudy, high near 71, low 64.

Chance of precipitation: 60% during the day, 30% at night. Tropical storm conditions possible at night.
