Sonia, Ruby Ethel (Harris), of West Newton, October 9, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Sonia. Devoted mother of Joseph J., Jr. and his longtime companion Jane Gopan, Richard D. and his wife Laurie, James R. and his wife Sherri all of W. Newton.

Dear sister of the late Bruce Harris and Alice Sousa. Loving grandmother of Rick, Jennifer, Michelle, Michael, Rachel, Jimmy, John, and William, great grandmother of Chris, John Michael, Lexi, Haley and Brendan, great great grandmother of Noah and Blake.

Funeral from the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St. (Rte. 16), West Newton, Thursday, October 15 at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bernard’s Church, West Newton at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday evening from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.
