Russell Adam, 84, Formerly of Newton, Grandfather of 25

Russell M. Adam of Peabody, formerly of Newton, died on Jan. 5 at the age of 84.

He was husand to Nancy Greenwood and was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Jacqueline (Russo); father of Lynn Giusti and her husband Thomas of Newton, Russell "Bussy" Adam and his wife Shelli of Newton and Deborah Smith and her husband Frank of Sanford, Maine; brother of the late George and David Adam; and grandfather of 25 and great grandfather of one, according to an obituary on the Magni Funeral Home website.

Visiting hours will be in the Andrew J. Magni & Son Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St. (Rt. 16) in Newton, on Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Funeral Service with military honors will be on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
