Two Men With Guns Arrested In Newton
The arrests come at a time when the city is on edge about a rash of home break-ins.

NEWTON, MA β Two men were arrested and charged in connection with having guns and ammunition without proper permits.
Police arrested Micah Gordon, 18, of Newton, and James Ju, 22, of Natick on March 25 at a home on Oak Terrace. They were subsequently arraigned.
The arrests come at a time when the city is on edge about a rash of home break-ins.

Gordon was charged with defacing the serial number on a firearm, improper storage of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, and possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card.
Lu was charged with possessing a firearm without a firearm identification card, illegal possession of ammunition, carrying a dangerous weapon, firearm serial number defacing.

Gordon, was arraigned on March 26. Judge Sarah Ellis ordered him to be released with the condition that he undergoes a mental health evaluation and returns to court to have a GPS monitoring device installed.
Lu failed to appear in court, according to prosecutors.
