We're celebrating Earth Week in Newton!
Green Newton is kicking off Earth Week with a poster making event to show how we are All in for Climate Action!

On Monday, April 19 from 4-5pm, kids can share ideas while making Earth Day posters to be displayed in your home's windows and/or in windows of local businesses. This activity will be led by Green Newtonβs Youth Leader and Newton North senior, Coral Lin. To attend this free virtual event, please R.S.V.P. to marcia@greennewton.org by April 18. Join us for a Festive EV/Bike event! on Earth Day, April 22 (4:30-6pm) on the carriage lane of Commonwealth Avenue near City Hall. Bikes and electric vehicles (EVs) will be decorated with eye-catching green ribbons and there will be music! Also, if you would like to create Earth Day chalk art on the carriage lane of Commonwealth Ave. near City Hall, please contact marcia@greennewton.org -- chalk will be provided to artists of all ages.
Join an Earth Day Webinar βSave the Planet and Your Health with a Plant-Based Dietβ on April 22 from 7-8pm, Learn about the environmental impacts of the meat, dairy, egg and fishing industries at a special Green Newton Speaker Series Earth Day online program with Sara Sezun, Chair of the Sierra Club MA Chapter Plant-based Planet Team.
