- The snow emergency in Newton has been lifted as of 11 a.m. Cars can now be parked on the street again.
10:20 a.m.

- According to the city's website, the snow emergency is still in effect as of this morning. Cars must be parked off the street.Β
- The MBTA's website indicates both the Green D Line and the Framingham/Worcester commuter rail are operating as normal.

10:54 p.m.Β
- According to the T Alerts, alternate bus service is operating on the Green D Line betweenΒ ReservoirΒ and Riverside Stations due to aΒ downed tree. Due to severe weather, riders can expect significantΒ delays as the buses are sent.
10:30 p.m.
- The Newton snow emergency time was changed to 11 p.m. All cars must be parked off the street.Β
- If residents have any snow-related service requests for the city, they can contact the City Hall customer service line at 617-796-2100 or file a request with theΒ 311 reporting system.

- All power outages should be reported directly to NSTAR. 911 is for emergencies only.Β
7:55 p.m.
- Newton Police Tweeted: A snow emergency will be in effect as of 8 p.m. tonight. Please remove all vehicles from Newton city streets or they will be towed.
7:50 p.m.

Starting at 9 p.m., the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will start enforcing a parking banΒ on all of theirΒ roads, inΒ anticipation of the expected snowstorm.
These roads areΒ all around parks, waterways and areas generally patrolled by the Massachusetts State Police.
All vehicles not removed from these areas will be towed to allow for snow removal and emergency access.
