Alexandra Turner for State Representative
I served with Alix Turner – she has what it takes to lead.
I was born and raised in Clinton and raised two children there and in Lancaster. While I can’t cast a vote for Alix Turner, I still have a vested interest in ensuring that residents of the 12th district– including family members and lifelong friends – are best served. Experience, motivation and commitment matter in our public servants and that is why I believe Alexandra Turner is the best candidate for State Representative.
During her nine years on the Lancaster Select Board, Alix helped manage the town through fiscal crisis, hiring of the first full-time fire chief, development of the town’s first capital budget and the establishment of a new law to provide benefits to call firefighters. I served with Alix for three of her years on the Select Board. She thrived at constituent services -- took the calls day and night, never minding being stopped in the grocery aisle, or at a private event to hear concerns. She brought these concerns to meetings and carried them forward with each vote, including how best to ensure a good education for our children while protecting the elderly on fixed incomes. Her motivation has always been to serve her community, to bring her skills to the task of improving lives.
The district is lucky to have three, engaged women in this race – a refreshing change. But only one of them has given their time to serve their community in elected office before now asking you to trust that they are ready to serve – Alix Turner. I urge you to vote Turner for State Representative September 1.
