Construction Re-Routes 9, 20, In Northborough, Shrewsbury

NORTHBOROUGH, MA—Late night drivers, take note.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) said there are overnight closures of the on-ramp from Route 20 to Route 9 westbound in Northborough during the week of Monday, June 18.

This on-ramp is closed each night between the approximate hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. during construction.

During the on-ramp closure, traffic traveling on Route 20 westbound in Northborough is detoured to West Main Street and then left onto South Street in Shrewsbury to access Route 9 westbound.

Traffic exiting the Northborough Crossing area will be directed to follow Route 20 westbound and turn right onto South Street in order to access Route 9 westbound towards Worcester.

Those traveling through the area should slow down and use caution. The schedule for this work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
