Get that mower out...

Thought and Poem

Thought and Poem – June 26, 2015

There is something I like better than the smell of grass and that is seeing my lawn after I finish cutting the grass. There is also a good feeling to look back and know that with just a little hard work you are very pleased with the way it looks and your neighbors do too!

With all the rain we have had lately you could see the grass grow talker with each inch of rain we received. So if you live around my area I don’t have to tell you I needed to now my lawn again. I can envision the monkeys and lion, tigers and bears building their homes in the green overgrowth in my back yard. Get the mower out QUICK!

I don’t like it when the grass gets too high for two other reasons. One is that I don’t like a messy lawn. I like being able to look out my windows and know that if I had kept my lawn cut it will look good. And two, is that if I let the grass get too high...well the bugs set up housekeeping and after they have moved in...They invite their friends to a party on my lawn! Not happening!

What about you? Are you the OCD type that is out there with the mower if it has grown even one inch or are you one who will let it grow and allow what will be to become? Share your thoughts with us…Jeanne Claire Probst P.S. I am the OCD type!

The grass on my lawn is getting high…
I let out a big sigh as I say to myself “oh my.”
Because it means I have to get the mower out to give the grass a trim…
Because when the lawn needs mowing I have just have to mow it again.

So I can sigh all I want but it is not going to help get the lawn done…
But mowing the lawn is not a job for everyone…
So get out of my way… nothing is going to stop me now…
I am going out to mow my lawn and get it done somehow..

When I am done I might be a little tired…
But my neighbors too l aim to inspire…
Neighbors who put off the inevitable after it rains…
These won’t get a moment peace until they’ve mowed their lawn again.

So if are like me

You keep checking

To see if your lawn grew any while you looked the other way

And you will mow your lawn before the end of your day!
