Homesense, 'HomeGoods On Steroids,' Opening MetroWest Location
Get excited: Homesense, described as HomeGoods on steroids, is opening its fourth Massachusetts location.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA—HomeSense, a furniture and home decor store operating under the umbrella of TJX Companies, is planning to open its fourth Massachusetts location this month. The store, which one publication called "HomeGoods on steroids," will be located at Northborough Crossing in Northborough.
The store is planned to open on Sept. 20, according to the company. Homesense joins retailers at Northborough Crossing that include the first Wegmans ever in Massachusetts, TJ Maxx, BJ's, PetSmart, Kohl's, The Paper Store, Charming Charlie, Ulta Beauty, Burger King and many more.
Homesense is a Canadian-based store that recently launched in the United States. So far, there are just a handful of locations in a few states, including New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Maryland. Several other HomeSense stores have September openings planned, according to the company's website.

The other Massachusetts locations are Framingham, Westwood and Braintree.

Cosmopolitan magazine, in a 2017 article, explored that very question. The conclusion: Homesense is basically HomeGoods on steroids.
Cosmopolitan reports they have a huge furniture section, as well as an area called "the general store," which offers everything from bath tubs to wallpaper, doorknobs, and fabrics. The lighting section is larger, and they have a full section for books, the publication reported.
