I-290 East And West Construction Work In Northborough

SHREWSBURY, MA—The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced this weekend, and on weekends throughout the spring, summer, and fall, there will be lane closures on areas of I-290 east and westbound in Shrewsbury, Boylston and Northborough.

These lane closures are necessary in order to allow crews to safely and effectively carry out construction operations, and travelers should be advised of potential traffic impacts and make informed decisions on route and timing of travel, said the announcement.

The weekend lane closures in these areas will be put in place on Saturday mornings and be in place through approximately 5 a.m. on Monday mornings.

Detours will be in place.
