ICYMI: Northborough Businessman Buys Union Music In Worcester

It's been in the Kamp family for generations, but has now been sold.

WORCESTER, MA—The musical instrument institution Union Music, which has been owned by the Kamp family for three generations, has been sold to a Northborough businessman, reports the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.

Jefferson Mararian, an investor who owned Blackstone Tap in Worcester, bought Union Music from Carl Kamp for an "undisclosed sum." He also bought the building in which Union Music is located back in April.

Union Music, long known for its neighborhood style, personalized customer service, veteran musicians supported it for more than 100 years. The business offers lessons, repairs, and the rental and sale of new and used instruments.

Mararian told the Telegram the store would have the same feel and that Kamp would stay on to make the transition seamless.
