JJ's Sports Bar 'Shut Down Until Further Notice'

The popular sports bar, music venue and restaurant may be closed up to a month or more.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA—The town has shut down JJ's Sports Bar and Restaurant "until further notice."

The Northborough Fire Department and building inspector has shut down the restaurant and music venue, and it will be closed until some repairs are made on the establishment, according to a reliable source, who added that he thinks the club may be closed up to a month or more.

"The building is in bad shape," said Cliff Broverman, the venue's house soundman and primary promoter. "The town is working with us to get us back open if possible, ASAP. No board of heath issues, but lots of other safety issues that need to be fixed; both building code and fire code."
