NEF Announces the $1000 Scholarship Art Conest

Northborough - The Northborough Education Foundation (NEF) is proud to announce a new scholarship art contest for high school students.

The “I Love Northborough” Scholarship Art Contest is open to all Algonquin Regional High School students, as well as any Northborough resident currently enrolled in another high school degree program. A $1000 college scholarship, generously donated by Main Street Bank, will be awarded to the winner.

The artwork submitted should reflect the town or community of Northborough and can be a photograph, painting, collage, digital art or any media that is two-dimensional. The final artwork will be produced in an 8”x8” format so entries should not exceed 12”x12”. The winning artwork will be reproduced in a limited quantity and sold to the public as a benefit for NEF.

NEF is a volunteer-run organization that provides teachers and administrators in the town of Northborough with the resources necessary to improve curriculum, programs and services beyond the level supported by the annual school budget. Through a variety of fundraising initiatives, NEF helps finance the costs of extraordinary curriculum and staff development projects, student services and activities, special programs, equipment purchases and other efforts in order to foster creativity and nurture and develop a bright and enthusiastic generation of learners.
