Megan Harrington, ARHS Class of 2021, wins scholarship with picture of the Northborough Aqueduct

NORTHBOROUGH – The Northborough Education Foundation (NEF) has chosen Megan Harrington, ARHS Class of 2021, as the winner of the first annual “I Love Northborough” $1000 Scholarship Art Contest.
The “I Love Northborough” $1000 Scholarship Art Contest was introduced this spring providing an opportunity for area high school students to submit artwork that reflects the town or community of Northborough. NEF received many submissions ranging from watercolors, pencil sketches, photography and multimedia artwork. The winner, Megan Harrington, will receive a $1000 college scholarship, generously donated by Main Street Bank.
Harrington’s mixed media painting of the Northborough Aqueduct will be reproduced in a limited quantity and matted by Gastonart & Frame at 58 West Main Street in Northborough. The limited edition prints will be available for a $100 donation beginning at the 2018 Applefest Gala, to be hosted by NEF on September 14th. NEF plans to repeat the contest each year with each piece being reproduced in the same size and shape, allowing residents the opportunity to grow a collection of unique town artwork.
