New Custom Hoagie Food Truck Coming To Northborough

The seasonal food truck was approved by the Board of Selectmen and has a six-month lease in Northborough.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA — One new eatery in Northborough is taking full advantage of the warm weather on the way and the now-popular outdoor dining trend. Yoagie's Hip Hoagies is a new food truck that was approved by the Board of Selectmen for a common victualler license.

The truck plans on being parked in front of 309 Main Street, but not using the inside of the building for customers. Owner Jeffrey McCarthy met with the Board of Selectmen on March 22 and explained that all food will be prepared in the Main Street building and then transferred to the truck to sell from there.

The building used to be The Texas BBQ Company location.

Benches are located outside the restaurant, next to the food truck, for customers to enjoy a fresh and custom-made hoagie. McCarthy told the board that all meat is prepared fresh and things like meatballs and turkey-balls are handmade.

McCarthy told the board he only signed a six-month lease with the space, as the food truck business tends to thin out in the colder months. Northborough residents can look for the truck throughout the spring and summer months.

Opening day for Yoagie's Hip Hoagies is tentatively set for April 3 according to the food truck's Facebook page. The truck hours are Wednesday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
