NORTHBOROUGH, MA — Although there's nothing specific planned for the Fourth of July in Northborough, residents don't have to travel far to celebrate Independence Day.
On June 29, Westborough will hold its annual Fourth of July block party. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. the celebration will take over the Bay State Common with live music, a magician, food, craft vendors, bounce house, and much more.
The Bay State Commons is located at 600 Union Street in Westborough.

If residents would rather celebrate on the 4th of July or during the day, Shrewsbury's festivities are also an option.
Join the town of Shrewsbury at Dean Park as they celebrate the Fourth of July with a bike and doll parade, live music, food, and more.

From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dean Park will provide free family friendly fun and entertainment. Food and some games will cost money, but entrance is free of charge.
The bike and doll carriage parade begins at 12:30 p.m. The parade will be followed by live music, hamburgers, hot dogs, and an inflatable amusement area for the kids. Wristbands for inflatable amusements cost $8.
As far as weather is concerned, expect a hot day and partly cloudy skies. The Weather Channel said temperatures are expected to reach 91 degrees with 58 percent humidity.
Dress appropriately, stay hydrated and most importantly, have a fun and safe 4th of July.
