Northborough Remembers Marie Taylor
She was active at St. Rose of Lima Parish, and a longtime member of the Northborough Garden Club.

Marie T. (Hughes) Taylor, 85, of Northborough died peacefully at home on Dec. 21, 2013.
She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Robert C. Taylor; her six children, Eilie Taylor of Portsmouth, N.H., Julie Taylor Moran and her husband Paul of Concord; Kathi Taylor and Ted Budzyna of East Dennis; Bob Taylor and his wife Lisa of Chelmsford; Paul Taylor of Chelmsford; Karen Odell and her husband Mark of Groton; 10 grandchildren; her sister, Virginia King of Brewster; her brother, Father John Hughes of Fitchburg; and many nieces and nephews. Marie is predeceased by Sister Eileen Hughes C.S.J., Robert Hughes and Joseph Hughes.
Born and raised in Brighton, the daughter of the late Patrick and Jane (O’Gara) Hughes, she lived in Framingham for 25 years before moving to Northborough in 1975. Marie is a graduate of St. Columbkille High School in Brighton.
As an active member of St. Rose of Lima Parish, Mrs. Taylor was a member of the women’s guild. She was also a longtime member of the Northborough Garden Club.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Marie’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St. Northborough. Burial will be private.
