This wasn't Pinho's first brush with the law.

In May of 2016, the then 18-year-old was charged by Northborough police with larceny and motor-vehicle charges after allegedly stealing his mother's jewelry and crashing his father's car into a utility pole. Pinho allegedly told police he crashed because he received a phone call and took his eyes off the road, according to Metrowest Daily News.

Pinho was accused of taking his father's car without permission. In his backpack, Northborough police found jewelry belonging to his mother.

The result of that case was not immediately available.
