Patriot Place Hosts Foxborough Street Painting Festival
The day will be full of creative fun featuring local artists and free family activities on May 20.

From Patriot Place: The creative works of local artists will be on display throughout Patriot Place’s North Marketplace during the lifestyle center’s third annual Foxborough Street Painting Festival on Saturday, May 20.
The festival, in partnership with the Foxborough Public Schools Art Department and Foxboro Dental Associates, aims to celebrate the arts and community through a day of family fun and activities throughout Patriot Place’s North Marketplace. Pre-registered artists from Foxborough and surrounding communities will be assigned a 5’x5’ cement square to design their own canvas from pastel chalks with the theme, “Through the Window.”
“Street painting has a long and rich history, originating in Italy," said Foxborough’s K-12 Art Department Head Kelly Arcacha. "With the incredible generosity of our partners and sponsors, Patriot Place and Foxboro Dental, we’ve been able to bring this time-honored event to Foxborough. We truly have an extraordinary team, working behind the scene, to prepare for our community art event. I'm grateful to have FHS Senior Project students, Matt Lucas and Icy (Rongbing) Shen, join our 2017 team. Both Matt and Icy have stepped up to the plate, working five days a week to make sure everything runs smoothly."

From noon to 6 p.m., guests can enjoy a number of free family activities around Patriot Place while artists create their masterpieces throughout the day. Activities include: caricature and balloon artists, the New England Revolution Fan Zone, live musical performances, a special appearance by Pat Patriot, the MIX 104.1 Street Team and the Foxborough Art Association’s Paint Out at The Artist’s Studio & Gallery, just to name a few.
“This is a wonderful event featuring talented artists throughout the area who transform Patriot Place’s sidewalks into an outdoor gallery of an incredible pavement art,” said Patriot Place Marketing Director Diana Griffin. “Throughout the day, visitors are welcome to come and see the artwork come to life and have the opportunity to speak with the artists while they work. We are thrilled to partner with the Foxborough Public Schools Art Department and Foxboro Dental Associates to host this event and provide families with a fun and creative way to celebrate the arts.”
