Rains Giving Way To Rays: Northborough's Weekend Weather

NORTHBOROUGH, MA—Remember, we needed this rain. It's offsetting drought conditions that have stemmed from early in the summer.

This weekend looks to start out wet (even a little snow), but get sunnier as it progresses. There is a flood watch for much of Massachusetts issued through Friday at 8 p.m. By Sunday, you might feel compelled to head outside and fly a kite.

Here's the latest from the National Weather Service for the area:

• Friday: A chance of showers in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52.
• Friday Night: A chance of showers, followed by a chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.
• Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 50.
• Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 35.
• Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 58.
• Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40.
