Starhawks Youth Hockey Has Success At Groton In The Woods Tournament

Three teams made it to the division championships.

HUDSON, MILFORD, NORTHBOROUGH, WESTBOROUGH, MA --Starhawks Youth Hockey entered several teams in the Groton in the Woods Tournament held at the Groton School in Groton over the holiday break and three teams made it to their Division Championship game.

The Mite 1’s played the Jr. Crusader team in hotly contested game that ended in a 4-3 loss. Coach Chamberlain lauded his team’s effort right up to the end.

The Squirt 1’s played the Nashoba squad in the Championship Game and escaped with a 4-3 win. Coach Meschisen commented on his team’s hard work and great goaltending as reasons for their big win!

The Bantam 2’s played the Woonsocket Bantam team to a 3-1 win. Coach Loughlin was happy with his team’s grit and determination in playing a tough Woonsocket team.

Starhawks Youth Hockey is the Town Program for Hudson, Milford and Northborough and surrounding communities. Starhawks will be offering a Try Hockey For Free event on Feb. 20 at 1:30 p.m. (Northstar Ice Sports Center in Westboro, MA) for children interested in hockey. More information will be available on www.starhawks.net in February.
