Stow Man Killed In Northborough Crash

One man died and another sustained minor injuries after a collision on I-290.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA—A man is dead after a two-car crash in Northborough on Sunday evening.

Around 8:20 p.m., responded to reports of a crash on I-290 westbound at the 17 mile-marker in Northborough.

Troopers found a 2016 Ford Ranger driven by a 38-year-old man from Stow which had collided with a 2000 Ford pickup that was driven by a 30-year-old man from Johnston, RI.

The man from Stow was brought to UMass Worcester in cardiac arrest. Investigators said that he had a medical issue that caused the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital. His identity will be released Monday after family notifications have been made. The 30-year-old man driving the pickup had minor injuries.

The right lane was closed during the incident. The scene was cleared at approximately 9:24 p.m.
