Vote Alexandra Turner for State Representative

Turner brings experience to the table when experience is vital to the Worcester 12th District

Alexandra Turner is running for State Representative for Worcester 12th District. As a lifelong resident of the district, Alix is a cooperative, creative and skilled leader with years of experience in municipal budgeting, planning and housing, environmental protection and human services work. She has developed a platform based on her experience to guide our district through our current crisis to a bright future.
Why vote for Alix? The answer is simple, she is the ONLY candidate in the race with elected experience, having served for 9 years on the Selectboard for the Town of Lancaster. Her networking, inclusive approach to build consensus, and strong work ethic will be vital to our district in the coming years. The pandemic has not only cost us lives, but it has reduced state revenue collections by over 10 billion dollars. Our budgets will be tested, and she has the skills, knowledge and work ethic to protect aid to our district. She has shepherded her community through a serious financial crisis, to a solid standing. She will use the same hard-earned skills and knowledge to help us now.
She is deeply concerned about the environment and dedicates time and money to protect it, including serving as a Conservation Commissioner, helping found the Lancaster Land Trust, and currently serves on the Federal Scenic Rivers steering committee among other environmental protection causes. Each of these roles came with work and results, including protecting acres of open space, and helping improve wetlands by-laws.
Alix is a social justice champion. She has a proven track record of helping elders and those in the district who are less fortunate in her role as Council on Aging and Community Center Director. Her current innovative programs in response to the pandemic have served as a model for other communities in the Commonwealth. Her years spent advocating for mental health and care for the disabled on Beacon Hill, and federally speak to her dedication to social justice. Her platform includes simple changes, such as reintroducing Civics into the classroom to give students the knowledge and tools to advocate for their future.
Alix is proud she stands out not only with experience, but she has run a clean campaign -- she has not taken any PAC or special interest funding. She serves only you, the voters of the 12th. She is the only candidate to vote regularly, she leads by example. She pledges to be open and transparent. ALWAYS.
