Accused North End Knife-Wielder Held on $25K Bail
He allegedly threatened a group on Cooper Street, advanced on police with butcher knives.

Boston, MA - A man accused of assaulting a group in the North End and then advancing on police with two weapons was held Monday on a $25,000 bail.
Steven Lacolla, 26, threatened a group near 17 Cooper Street early Sunday morning while holding two large butcher knives and wearing a bulletproof vest, according to the Boston Police Department. When police arrived, he allegedly advanced toward them with the weapons, but ultimately surrendered them without causing any injuries.

Lacolla was in court Monday on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and use of body armor in the commission of a felony.
He returns to court July 25.
