Celebrate Italian Heritage With The Governor

Celebrate your Italian heritage: Governor Deval Patrick and Consul General of Italy Guiseppe Pastorelli will be kicking off Italian Heritage Month, beginning today, on the State House Grand Staircase beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Learn about the North Bennet Street School development project: The Boston Redevelopment Authority will hold a meeting tonight in the Nazzaro Center at 6:30 p.m. to update residents about the rehabilitation plans for the trade school’s new space.

Movies for little ones: The North End Library on Parmenter Street will be showing children’s films from 11 a.m. to noon.

This Day in History: On October 1, 1908, the first production Model T. Ford was completed at the company’s plant in Detroit. From that year to 1927, Ford built 15 million Model T cars.
