Chess For Kids and Shopping in the North End

Checkmate: The North End Library, 25 Parmenter Street, will offer chess lessons for kids from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The class is for beginning chess players. A mentor will show you how to play. Call the Children’s Librarian at 617- 227-8135 to sign up.

Getting better at chess? The North End Library will also offer an intermediate class for youthful players who want to strengthen their skills. The friendly mentor will show you some good moves. Once again, sign up by calling 617-227-8135.

Zoning meeting: The next meeting of the NEWRA is December 13 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Nazzaro Center on North Bennett Street.
