Chimney Collapses On Woman In North End
A woman was seriously injured when a chimney fell on her overnight.
BOSTON, MA – A woman was seriously injured overnight when a chimney collapsed on her at a North End apartment, according to reports. The woman had attached one end of a hammock to the chimney, which collapsed and trapped her underneath it.
The incident happened just after midnight on Charter Street, the Boston Globe reported. Emergency crews extricated her from the collapsed bricks and lowered her to the ground.
She was transported to the hospital with "serious" injuries, reports say.
