Daily 5: NEWRA Parks Committee Meeting

Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on Tuesday, July 2 in the North End.

1. Chance of rain: Today will be cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. Some storms could produce heavy rain. More rain is possible this evening, mainly between 1 and 4 a.m. High: 80, Low: 69.

2. Stories at the library: Bring the kids by the North End Branch Library (25 Parmenter St.) for two different story times on Tuesday, July 2. Toddlers (ages 15 months to 3 years) are welcome from 10:30-11 a.m., and babies (children up to 15 months old) are welcome from 11-11:30 a.m. No registration required.

3. Parks meeting: The North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association Parks and Open Space Committee meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Nazzaro Center (30 N. Bennet St.).

4. BU study: Researchers at Boston University are conducting a study about family responses to the Boston Marathon attack and the effects of the attack on children.
