Lucia Ristorante’s 35 Year Anniversary Celebration. Until October 24 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., Lucia’s flagship Hanover Street restaurant will be transported back to 1977, offering unlimited beverages and tastes from its opening menu (passed hors d'oeuvres and specialty entrée stations), and surrounding guests with décor from its opening days and live entertainment from the likes of John Zucco, Frank Zarba, and more. The Boston Bruins will be in attendance (Lucia is donating proceeds from their prix fixe menu leading up to the celebration to the Boston Bruins Foundation) and there will be surprise appearances and activities.
Visit the library: There are no scheduled events today but the North End Branch Library on Parmenter Street is open on Saturday from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.
Shop local: Need a certain accessory? A fur coat? A new or vintage handbag? Then head right over to Ensemble at 62 Salem Street where you'll find all the above and more.
