Magnolia Bakery To Open At Faneuil Hall
And they even have something special for Boston.

BOSTON, MA — New York City’s Magnolia Bakery, known for its fresh baked American desserts (and its cameo on Sex and the City) will be opening at Quincy Market at Faneuil Hall this spring.
The newest shop will be the first in New England. The space is about 1,100 square feet and will have a coffee counter with seven stools where visitors can hang out with their coffee and desserts.
The bakery will offer a host of handmade cupcakes, cookies, cheesecakes, cakes, pies, icebox desserts. And they even decided to create something new just for the Boston spot.

“We’re inspired by Boston’s current food scene and are excited to introduce fans to our newest banana pudding in honor of Boston’s iconic Boston Cream Pie,” said Bobbie Lloyd, Magnolia Bakery’s Chief Baking Officer, who launched her culinary career in Boston, attending culinary school and opening her first restaurant in Brookline Village (American Accent). “We’re looking forward to developing more Magnolia Bakery desserts around local flavors in the coming months.”
The aptly named Boston Cream Pie Banana Pudding has layers of vanilla pudding, vanilla wafers, bananas and chocolate fudge.

“Magnolia Bakery will make an exemplary addition to Quincy Market," said Joe O’Malley, General Manager of Faneuil Hall Marketplace. “Bringing new and exciting experiences for visitors is part of our vision for the future of the marketplace.”
Their desserts will be available for advance order with an option to pick-up or limited local delivery.
In addition to daily menu items, Magnolia Bakery also offers events and corporate catering, including beautifully decorated birthday cakes, customized graduation cakes, tiered wedding cakes and baby shower dessert tables. Magnolia Bakery offers a wide variety of desserts for events, including customizable cakes through their Cake Salon.
“We are excited to finally be opening our first store in Boston,” said Steve Abrams, Magnolia Bakery’s CEO. “With the iconic nature of the Magnolia Bakery brand, we are excited to have found a partner in the historic Faneuil Hall.”
Magnolia Bakery, which opened its first location in 1996 in New York City’s West Village, rose to fame after being featured on hit television series “Sex and the City” and “Saturday Night Live,” and the film “The Devil Wears Prada,” among others. Today, Magnolia Bakery has locations around the world, including New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, and Seoul, Amman, Riyadh, Doha, Kuwait City, Mexico City, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
