TUESDAY

  • NEAD meeting: North End Against Drugs meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Nazzaro Community Center (30 N. Bennet St.). For more information about NEAD and about joining, contact Debra DeCristoforo at neadddc@gmail.com.

  • Biographies on film: On Wednesdays in August, drop by the North End Branch Library (25 Parmenter St.) for a film series featuring biographical movies. On Aug. 14, watch “Houdini” (1953).
  • North End Movie Night: The North End Recovery Outreach Committee teen program and Regina Pizzeria are bringing back North End Movie Nights every Wednesday through August at DeFilippo Park on Prince Street. Enjoy free Regina pizza and beverages; bring your own chairs or blankets. Movies begin at 7 p.m. For more information, email virgil70s@aol.com.

THURSDAY

  • Concert on the Prado: The North End Music and Performing Arts Center is offering a free summer concert series on the Prado (Paul Revere Mall off Hanover Street). On Aug. 15, enjoy a Big Band Bash with Jeremy and Friends. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. Learn more at nempacboston.org.
  • Fisherman’s Feast: The 103rd annual Fisherman’s Feast, organized by the Madonna del Soccorso Society of Boston, will kick off Thursday, Aug. 15 with opening ceremonies at Christopher Columbus Park. The society will hand out its annual Italian American of the Year Award, which this year goes to Mayor Thomas Menino, at 7:30 p.m. The Boston-based doo wop band Street Magic will perform at 9 p.m. on the main stage. The festival will continue through Sunday, Aug. 18. Learn more at fishermansfeast.com. 

FRIDAY

  • Greenway concert: The Berklee College of Music is bringing free summer concerts to the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway on Friday evenings throughout August. B’Major will perform on Aug. 16. Concerts are free and begin at 6 p.m. at the North End Park (46 Cross St.). Learn more at berklee.edu/events/summer.
