Mike's Pastry Owner Dies

On Wednesday, December 12, Mike's Pastry was open and customers were drinking coffee and eating pastries.

Although it was cheerful-looking inside, there was sadness in the shop.

People from the neighborhood came in to pay their condolences. 

The owner of Mike's Pastry, located at 300 Hanover Street, died on December 11. 

The cause of death was not given for Mr. Mercogliano.

Mike's son, Angelo, said the family wants the press to respect their privacy for now.
