The Boston Harbor Hotel Inaugurates the 24th Annual Boston Wine Festival
North End residents may want to attend this festival.
North End Patch recently learned from Samantha Bell of O'Neill and Associates that the Boston Harbor Hotel's 24th Annual Boston Wine Festival will begin on Friday, January 11, 2013, with a Grand Opening Reception in the Boston HarborHotel's Wharf Room.
From seminars and brunches to intimate winemaker-hosted dinners, this year's Boston Wine Festival -- considered by food and wine connoisseurs to be the nation's most extensive cuisine and wine pairing series -- is the perfect winter long celebration.
The Festival's season features 39 evenings of wine as well as three themed brunches, culminating with a final reception on Friday, March 29. Tickets for the Opening Reception and for individual events during the Festival are now available for purchase at http://www.bostonwinefestival.net/shop or by calling toll free 1-888-660-WINE or local 617-330-9355.

"Given the impressive lineup of winemakers participating in this 2013 season, we anticipate that many of the dinners and special events will sell out immediately," noted Chef Daniel Bruce, the hotel's chef who has created more than four thousand original dishes during the span of the Festival, each designed to perfectly complement the special wine with which it was served.
Chef Bruce maintains his philosophy of matching dishes to wines by tasting and creating flavor profiles that enhance both the wine and food experience. Ten years ago this inspired the opening of Meritage at the Boston Harbor Hotel, which celebrates the Festival with its unique food and wine-pairing concept.

The 24th annual Boston Wine Festival will offer guests exclusive dinners, seminars, receptions and brunches hosted by some of the world's most renowned winemakers, each personally selected and invited by Chef Bruce. Â Some of the stars participating in this year's festivities include Spottswoode Estate Vineyard & Winery, Domenico Clerico Winery, Opus One, Peter Michael, Frog's Leap, Diamond Creek, Cheateauneuf du Pape and Cakebread Cellars.
The 2013 Boston Wine Festival will also bring back the popular themed dinners including Battle of the Cabernets and Meritage Madness while introducing a new twist with Pinots: Old World, New World.
Chef Bruce's wine and food pairing series span the country and now include the Capital Wine Festival at The Fairfax at Embassy Row in Washington, D.C. and the Berkeley Wine Festival at the Claremont Hotel Club & Spa in Berkeley, California. As a result of the success of these Festivals, Bruce has taken his Meritage restaurant concept Berkeley, California, providing guests with the opportunity to experience his pairings from coast to coast.
To complement the wine-centric experience, the Spa at Rowes Wharf will feature signature vino-based treatments in conjunction with the 2013 Boston Wine Festival.
These will enhance the Spa's current menu of therapy treatments by creating the ultimate wine relaxation experience. The Spa offers all the luxuries of a destination resort spa in the heart of a cosmopolitan city.
The Boston Harbor Hotel is Boston's landmark waterfront hotel and a recipient of the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award.
