Watch 'Grease' at DeFilippo Playground Wednesday
Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on Aug. 7 in the North End.

1. Sunny: Wednesday, Aug. 7 will be sunny with a light wind and a chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the evening, according to the National Weather Service. High: 83, Low: 66.
2. Movie Night: ROC Teen Saturday will host the next Family Movie Night, “Grease,” on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. at DeFilippo Playground on Prince Street. Enjoy free Regina pizza and beverages; bring your own chairs or blankets.
3. Softball game: Come watch the 10th annual NEAA Oldtimers Softball All-Star Game on Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 7-9 p.m. at Puopolo Park on Commercial Street. The event is part of North End Pride Week.

4. Biographies on film: On Wednesdays in August, drop by the North End Branch Library (25 Parmenter St.) for a film series featuring biographical movies. On Aug. 7, watch “The Best Things in Life Are Free” (1956), about popular composers of the Jazz Age. Films start at 5:30 p.m.
5. File cabinet needed: The North End Music and Performing Arts Center is looking for a lateral filing cabinet, with 2-4 drawers, to be sold or donated. Got one they can use? Call the center at 617-227-2270.
