Chamber Hosts Business Breakfast On Impact Of “Grand Bargain”
In-depth look at the new laws and regulations at Chamber event.

The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce hosted a business breakfast panel at Meadowbrook Country Club on Sept. 26th . The panel consisted of MA stakeholders and local business leaders and over 30 business people attended the event.
“The Chamber was pleased to offer this in-depth look at the new laws and regulations, particularly since they go well beyond just minimum wage,” commented Shanna Cahalane, President of the Chamber and Vice
President of Marketing at Reading Cooperative Bank.

An overview of the laws comprised in the “Grand Bargain” legislation was offered by Christopher Carlozzi, State Director of the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) and Ryan Kearney of the Retailer’s Association of MA.
Additional insights and commentary were offered by Moderator and Employment Attorney David Robinson, Esq., of Ruberto, Israel & Weiner. The panel was rounded out by local business owner Pat Lee of the Horseshoe Grille. Pat also serves as the Chair of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association. Information,
