Dance Fundraiser to Help Support North Reading High Grad
Mark Watman, NRHS Class of '94, and his wife are struggling to pay the medical bills of their daughter, who was born extremely premature.

A number of members of the North Reading High School Class of 1994 have banded together to help one of their own.
On Friday, Nov. 13, there will be a fundraiser and dance at the Moose Hall in North Reading to help pay for some of the medical bills for Mark Watman’s daughter, Evelyn.
Evelyn was born extremely premature to Watman and his wife, Mary, and the family is facing mounting medical bills as Evelyn faces a number of surgeries and a long hospital stay.

When Evelyn was born at 26 weeks, she weighed only one pound, 10 ounces and was seven inches long.
“She has had several surgeries, and has overcome many infections so far,” said Michele (Lane) Widomski, a fellow member of the NRHS Class of ‘94. “She is currently doing well, but is in the hospital until at the very least January. Her medical bills are outrageous, and its the last thing Mark and his wife, Mary should have to worry about.”

Although Watman now lives in California, Widomski said he is a great friend to many of his former classmates, even though he lives across the country.
The fundraiser is from 7 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Nov. 13 at the Moose Lodge and is $20 per person. It will feature music by DJ Phillip Carbone, raffles, silent auctions, pizza, a cash bar, and more.
“There will be plenty of raffles, including Bruins tickets as well as many local restaurants such as Kitty’s and The Horseshoe have generously donated gift certificates,” Widomski said. “Mark and his family live in California, until just this past week, they were unaware we had planned this party for them. They are so grateful. We are hoping for a huge turn out to help out an amazing family, and fellow alumni.”
