Kelsey Irvine, a seventh grade student at Higgins Middle School in Peabody and a Xcel Gold Team Member at the Reading Gymnastics Academy in North Reading, was awarded the All-Around State Champion trophy at the United States Gymnastics Association (USAG) State Meet in North Andover last weekend.
Kelsey placed 1st on the beam with a score of 9.475 out of 10. Scoring a total of 37.3 points on all four events (vault, bars, beam, and floor), Kelsey has qualified to compete as an “All-Star” athlete at the Regional Championship Meet scheduled for May 31.
