Kitty's To Reopen Saturday At Noon
North Reading restaurant was closed for a month because of salmonella issues.

Kitty's Restaurant will reopen its doors Saturday after almost a month off because of salmonella.
Kitty's, in business at 123 Main Street in North Reading for 75 years, posted the following on their Facebook page Thursday:
To all our loyal customers.
We thank you so much for your patience and support through this trying time.
We are so sorry that this event affected any of our customers. In 75 years of business no incident like this has ever occurred.
We look forward to serving you all again.
We will reopen Saturday, August 11th at noon!
Can’t wait to see you all.

Kitty's issue goes back to June 23 when 39 guests filed a complaint with the Massachusetts Department of Health. Following the complaints the restaurant was closed for a full cleaning and sanitization of the building before reopening July 6. It was closed days later and has been dark for more than a month.
