Boston Bruins Honor Falmouth Police Officer
The Boston Bruins recognized Falmouth Police Officer and Air National Guard Sergeant Julia Massi during a Tuesday night game as part of their "8-Spoked Salute" program. The program aims to honor local soldiers with complimentary Bruins tickets and a video scoreboard message. Massi served in Iraq in 2010 and Afghanistan in 2013 and is a recipient of the Army Commendation Medal and Air Force Achievement Medal amongst other honors.

Massachusetts The Best State in America: U.S. News and World Report
U.S. News and World Report released their inaugural list of the best states in the country, and the winner was Massachusetts. Factors included health care, economy, education and infrastructure. Should Massachusetts fail to carry out its duties as reigning best state, the runner up is our neighbor to the north New Hampshire, followed by Minnesota, North Dakota and Washington.

These Turkeys, In Ritual-Like Circling Of A Dead Cat, Are Freaky
If you have yet to catch this spooky video, a group of turkeys circle a dead cat. The 24-second video leaving many people scratching their heads, and readers across the state speculated on Facebook. Was it a turkey funeral? A turkey coven? The working theory is that the flock's leader may have started walking around the deceased feline to assess the situation and the rest followed.
Newton Police Send Support to #WhyNotDevin
Six-year-old, Framingham boy Devin Suau has been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of pediatric cancer known as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. His parents have since launched a Facebook group #WhyNotDevin and a GoFundMe asking why Devin can't be the first to survive this cancer which impacts between 200-300 kids annually across the country. In support, officers from the Newton Police Department posed with letters spelling out #WhyNotDevin.
Ivan, The Cat With Deformed Legs, Still Has No Adopters
Ivan, an adorable ten-month-old tuxedo cat, has been sitting at the MSPCA's Boston shelter for two weeks now. According to an MSPCA spokesperson, Ivan has not been adopted due to his malformed legs which prohibit him from walking properly. The shelter hopes Ivan's story will inspire an individual or family to come by the adoption center to meet him in person during open hours.
