More Filming Dates Announced for Jennifer Lawrence Movie

Filming will re-commence for “Kay’s Baptism,” aka “Joy,” on March 11 and 12 on Winter Street in North Reading.

The Jennifer Lawrence/Bradley Cooper/Robert DeNiro movie has been shooting at an old garage next to Heav’nly Donuts this week.

Filming will return on March 11-12 and possibly March 23, according to North Reading Police.

“These dates are subject to change and we will update the public if and when we receive new information,” said police.

Winter Street will be closed those days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The road will be closed at Winter/Park and Winter/Main. Local residents and businesses will be able to enter at Winter/Park.

“The Police Department will be onsite to assist with traffic flow. Detour signs and digital displays will be posted a week in advance notifying the public and providing alternate routes. The Police Department is urging all residents and business owners to seek alternate routes during these times. Motorists can expect delays,” said police.
