North Reading CIT Issues Parent Alert

CIT issues warning about black market vapes and vape lung disease

On Friday, the CDC officially named the lung disease epidemic "EVALI", which stands for "E-cigarette or Vaping product use-Associated Lung Injury". This disease has now reached over 1,300 people across 49 states. As of today, 26 deaths have been associated with EVALI. Although the majority of patients are adults, the vast majority of patients include vape THC users. This is a clear opportunity to raise awareness among North Reading residents. Please consider reading the attached PARENT ALERT regarding Black Market Vapes. It has been well-vetted with the latest science-based information available as well as through our local detectives.
