North Reading Girls Earn No. 5 Seed In Basketball Tournament

They knew they were tournament bound, but Friday afternoon the MIAA made it official with the announcement of the 2019 basketball tournament pairings.

After a 14-6 regular season, the North Reading girls earned the No. 5 in the Division 2 North tournament. The Hornets will travel to Swampscott Wednesday to face the No. 4 seeded Big Blue in a quarterfinal game. North Reading enters the tournament having gone 6-1 this month.

The complete Division 2 North girls' seeds:
